SAXTONS RIVER -- Helen I. White, 68, of Saxtons River Road, died Saturday, July 21, 2007, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Marcia White on Parker Hill in Rockingham.She was born July 13, 1939 in Groton, the daughter of Ralph I. and Kate (Spear) Emerson. Mrs. White attended schools in Groton.She was a member of RSVP of Vermont and a past member of the Women's Auxilliary, Saxtons River Fire Department. She was a dedicated volunteer at the SEVCA Good Buy store in Bellows Falls and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a good friend and loved by all. Everyone enjoyed her peanut butter fudge and donuts.Mrs. White loved her family, yard sales, birds, especially hummingbirds, and her beloved animals, Emma, Angel, Lucy and Taber.In 1957 in Grafton, she married Lawrence White Sr., who died in 1988. Mrs. White is survived by her sons, Lawrence Jr. and wife Marcia of Rockingham, and Lester and wife Tonia of Westminster; daughter Lee A. Boucherand husband Richard (Louie) of Bellows Falls. She also leaves three brothers, Ira R. Emerson Jr. and Richard Emerson, both of Springfield, and Tedrick Emerson and wife Mary of Cambridge, N.Y.; one sister, Gloria Simonds of Mooresville, N.C.; 10 grandchildren, Nathan Daniels, Anna White, Casey and Eric Paige, Lisa, Katie and Bradford White, Erica Sykie, Angela and Trevor Augustinowicz; 9 great-granchildren, Jacob, Moriah, Kassidy, Justin Jr., Maddux, Katalina, Jada, Mason and Caleb. She also leaves her cat, Snowball.Mrs. White was predeceased by one sister, Marilyn Emerson.There will be a graveside funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, in the Saxtons River Cemetery in Saxtons River. Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls is handling the arrangements.Memorial contributions in Mrs. White's name may be made to the Hospice in your area.u
