She was born May 21, 1934 in Gulf Shores, Al.Helen worked for 25 years at Reliable Chevrolet in the parts department keeping track of all the parts before the days of computers. She enjoyed her many jewelry boxes made by Charlie and happy when she was working in her yard, traveling, watching NHRA drag racing, and stock car racing. Helen was a kind gentle lady and a wonderful wife and mother to her family.Helen was an active member of South Haven Baptist Church and the Wedgeworth Sunday school class.She is preceded in death by her parents.Helen leaves to miss her Charles (Charlie) devoted husband of 63 years, daughter Susan (Mike) Goodwin; son Ken (Karen) Hurley; sister-in-law Louanna (Roger) Wasson all of Springfield. Extended family, Bob (Linda)Samuel; Elaine (Dennis) Tucker; Steve (Alice) Samuel; Rogersville and Carolyn (Kenneth deceased) Samuel of Jeffersonville, IN. A host of nieces and nephews along with lots of great nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Many car club and racing friends will miss Helen's sweet smile and attitude after 10 long years of battling cancer and many illnesses.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 12-2 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO with service following at 2:00 p.m. The interment will follow in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens.Donations may be made in honor of Helen to the South Haven Baptist Church, 2353 S.
