SELLERSBURG -- Helen (Leach) Goodwin, 89, died Tuesday at Green Valley Care Center, New Albany, IN. She was a member of Sellersburg Church of Christ, Pleasant Grove Homemakers Club and retired from the U.S. Census Bureau. She is survived by her son, James Goodwin of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Carol Haas of Sellersburg; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Goodwin. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Garr Funeral Home, with interment in Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Words of Life Radio Ministry.
