GIBSON-GANT, Helen Was born April 26, 1921 in Nashville, TN to Will B. Gibson and Lena Mae Wilcox. Helen departed this life on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Mayfield Rehabilition Center, Smyrna, TN. She was preceded in death by both parents and sisters, Katie John Gibson, Janie Hammonds and Emma Hudson; one brother, William Gooden. She leaves to cherish her memory, devoted niece, Barbara Gibson- McClain, Mays Landing, NJ; devoted friends, Mary and Joe Andrews, Nashville, TN; nieces and nephews, Rita and Anthony Mack, Galloway, NJ, Ida and Syl Butler, Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Imogene Brown, Bridgeton, NJ, Dorothy Hamilton, Lexington, KY, Peggy Johnson, Nashville, TN, Jimmy and Sheila Hammonds, Atlanta, GA; and numerous other nieces and nephews; special friends, Gladys Buchanan, Josephine Miles, Clyde Robertson and the Moore Family. She will lie in state at Lewis & Wright Funeral Home on Clarksville Hwy., Nashville, TN on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 12 Noon to 7 p.m. On October 6, 2012, she will be conveyed to Greater St. John Baptist Church to lie in state from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral service at 11 a.m., with the Rev.
