Anderson, Helen F. Aug. 16, 1919 - Jan. 4, 2015 Helen Ramsay Anderson was born in Medina, Lenawee County, Michigan and lived in Adrian, Michigan until her marriage in 1942 to Joseph Anderson (deceased 1989). During the years of WW II they lived in Corpus Christi, Texas, Jacksonville, Florida and Boston, Massachusetts. Following the war they lived in Ohio, Texas, Alabama, Florida and Minnesota before retiring to Sarasota in 1974. She is survived by sons, Stephen of Ft. Myers and Kent of Sarasota, daughter-in-law, Sharon of Sarasota, and granddaughters, Jessica of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Margot, Abigail and Gwyneth of Ft. Myers. She traveled extensively both with her family and after the death of her husband. She was a life long Methodist and was a member of North UMC, Sarasota, and St. John's UMC, Sarasota. She was active as a student and teacher in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana and Sumi-e. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 17th at 11am at St. John's UMC, 6611 Proctor Road, Sarasota, Florida.
