MORRIS, Helen ElizabethBorn March 19, 1917On Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Grace Manor, Ottawa. Daughter of the late William and Mary McSweeney, formerly of Old Chelsea, Quebec. Beloved wife of 54 years of the late Frederick G. Morris. Mother of Caroline (Arnold) Midgley, Gayle Morris (former spouse of Lorne Nystrom), Patrick (Susan) Morris, Mary-Ann (Cyril) Symes, Frederick – Ted (Laurie) Morris and predeceased by daughter Olga and sisters Sylvia, Lenore, Theresa, sister-in-law Olga Morris and brothers-in-law Dalton Broadhead and Harvey Whitcomb. Survived by brother Michael (Marion) McSweeney and Hazel Broadhead. Predeceased by brothers Daniel, Robert, Ronald, James Louis McSweeney and Arthur. Survived by sister-in-law Mildred Whitcomb of Ottawa, Mary Morris of Pembroke and predeceased by brother-in- law Peter Morris of Pembroke. Grandmother to Eric, Adam, Jason, Natasha, Emily, Andrew, Catherine, Aaron, Allison and step- grandchildren Lindsay and Sarah. Helen is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Helen was known as a sweet, kind and passionate person to all who knew her. Helen was a competitive lawn and alley bowler as well as an accomplished artist. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family is so grateful to the staff at the Grace Manor for their years of compassionate care and especially to Dr. Lloyd Rossman.
