Helen Elizabeth Ashton Davis Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Ashton Davis, 95, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Funeral services will be Friday, May 2, 2008, at 10 a.m. EDT in St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Monticello. Interment will follow in Roseland Cemetery, Monticello. Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, 2008, from 6 to 7 p.m. EDT, and the Rosary Service will be at 7 p.m. EDT, in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home, Monticello (850-997-5612).In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Margaret's Catholic Church, 186 NW Sumpter St., Madison, FL 32340. Helen was a native of St. Johns County, Fla., and a former resident of Melbourne, before moving to Monticello in 1929. She was owner and manager of an apartment building. She was a member of the Monticello Women's Club.Helen attended and was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church, where she was active in the many facets of the church. She is survived by two sons, Clarence Edward Davis of Havana and Harold Lamar Davis of Tallahassee; two daughters, Joan Davis Linn and Jhan Davis Reichart, both of Monticello; a sister, Mable A. Cooksey of Tallahassee; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Edward West Davis, and a son, Eugene Michael Davis.
