ROCHESTER — Helen E. St. Jean, 88, a resident of Belmont, N.H., for more than 50 years, died at Rochester Manor on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005.She was born in Manchester on June 5, 1917, and was a graduate of Manchester West High School, Class of 1935.She worked for many years as a floral designer at Prescott's Flower Shop in Laconia. She enjoyed painting, sewing, making furniture, and creating sculptural art from natural objects.She was predeceased by her husband, Francis St. Jean, in April 1979.Survivors include her daughter, Roberta St. Jean of Margate, Fla.; her son, Ron St. Jean and his wife, Diane, of Barrington; her grandsons, Aaron and Andrew St. Jean of Jamaica Plain, Mass.; and her nephew, Peter Whitten of Cambridge, Mass.There will be no calling hours and private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
