LUCAS Helen E. Lucas (nee Hodgson), of South Baltimore, Md., died on August 28, 2003. She was the beloved wife of the late William N. Lucas Sr.; devoted daughter of the late Gladys and Frederick Hodgson Jr.; and loving mother of Penny L. and Arthur E. Tolson of Baltimore, Patricia A. and William N. Lucas Jr. of Fairfield, Conn.; Cynthia H. and Ronald D. Neary of Shrewsbury, Pa., Christi L. and Robert W. Lucas of Pasadena, Md., cherished grandmother of Patricia Ruppert, Dawn Gardner, Erica Hamilton (Tolson), William III, Matthew and Patrick Lucas, Megan, Justin and Sarah Lucas; dearest Nana of seven great-granchildren; devoted sister of Frederick W. Hodgson III, and Marion Hodgson, Anthony and the late William H. Hodgson, and Shirley Hodgson Gray. Also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. Family received friends at the family owned and operated McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, P.A., 130 East Fort Avenue, (South Baltimore) on Sunday and Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., where funeral services were held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
