Born in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late John Christopher and Hattie Payne Black. Mrs. Davis retired from Package Supply and Equipment Company. She was a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church.Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Jenkins of Greenville; three grandchildren, Stephanie "Pepe" Reid of Easley, Shawn Jenkins and wife Joy of Piedmont, and Chad Reid and wife Janet of Greenville; three great grandchildren, Seth Jenkins, Lyndi Reid, and Cotes Reid; sister, Frances Morgan Bromfield of Anderson; brother, William Randolph Black of Piedmont; two very special friends, Stan Jenkins and Hayne Hipp. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynda Reid; stepson, William H. Davis, Jr.; three brothers; and four sisters.
