ALBANY Helen Claus Freeman, 92, of Link Street, Albany, died Saturday morning March 22, 2003 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. Helen was born in Everett, Mass. and resided most of her life in Albany. She lived her early married life in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a member of Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany and the Senior Adult Program at the Albany Jewish Community Center. She actively volunteered her time at the Jewish Community Center and was also an entertainer involved in many shows at the Community Center. She was a past member and board member of the Interfaith Council in Albany and was a member of the Pythian Sisters of Albany. She was married to Irving Freeman until his passing in 1994. She is survived by her loving daughters, Mrs. Howard (Marilyn) Marwill of Niskayuna, N.Y. and Bonnie Josephson of Birmingham, Mich. Cherished grandmother of Suzanne Marwill, Roger Marwill and his wife Laura, Meredith Marwill, Julie Josephson and Michael Josephson; great-grandmother of Joseph and Evan Marwill. Services at the Mendleson Chapel at the Beth Emeth Cemetery on Turner Lane in Loudonville, N.Y. on Monday, March 24, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at the Beth Emeth Cemetery. The Period of Mourning will be observed on Monday evening at the home of Howard and Marilyn Marwill, 1329 Ruffner Road in Niskayuna, N.Y. Memorial contributions in memory of Helen may be made to the Albany Jewish Community Center, 340 Whitehall Road, Albany, NY 12208.
