CARTER Helen Carter, 65, passed away July 29, 2010. She was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida. Helen enjoyed gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walker Mills, Sr. and Barbara Rhoden; brother, Walker Mills, Jr. (Buzzie); and step-son, Eddie Carter. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. Helen is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Roy Carter; daughter, Kim Cason; sister, Debbie Fraser (Ryan); numerous nieces and nephews, including Gar and Taylor Fraser, and her beloved pets, Mo and Sarge. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5-7 pm, Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the Hardage- Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Avenue, 388-2711. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 2, 2010. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
