CARTER-EDWARDS _ Helen It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Doris Carter-Edwards, beloved wife of Ernest (predeceased), at the Rockyview General Hospital on Monday, February 19, 2007. Helen was born in Stirling, Ontario on May 28, 1929. She will be dearly missed by her son, Stephen (Zuzana); daughters, Penny (David) and Therese; grandchildren, Melanie, Bernadette and Hannah; sisters, Audrey, Edna, Barbara and Lelia as well as many wonderful relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Myrtle. Helen and Ernest were volunteer members of the Palliative Care Team at the Calgary General (Bow Valley) Hospital and Peter Lougheed Hospital for many years. Helen had many hobbies that she loved to do including square dancing, knitting, baking and, more recently, skating. She also enjoyed visiting with her many friends at the Chinook Centre Mall, her condominium, and at "The Ranch" at Sylvan Lake. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Friday, February 23, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Palliative Care Unit 43 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital (3500 - 26 Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB T1Y 6J4).
