BURNS, Helen May 1, 1916 September 13, 2005 Helen was deeply loved by her husband Bob, who predeceased her in 2003. She will be remembered and missed by her children Ril (Dan), Ron (Sally), Sarah (Chris), David (Donna), her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her two sisters Peggy and Elizabeth. Helen was born in Fernie and raised in the beauty of British Columbia. She attended University of Alberta where she met and married the love of her life, Bob Burns. Many moves throughout the war and postwar years created a wonderful group of friends. Her life was filled with family, friends, golf, bridge and volunteer work. She had the wonderful ability to make people feel at ease and smile with her. She relished the conversations. Her smile, laugh, wave of her arms and sincere thankfulness for her rich, loving life will be missed deeply by those who knew her. The family wishes to thank the staff at Victoria General Hospital 6 North for their compassion and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a charity of your choice or Canadian Kidney Foundation or The Mt. Newton Centre, 2158 Mt. Newton X Rd, Saanichton, BC, V8M 2B2. A celebration of Helen's life will take place at the Falcon Ridge Club House at 901 Kentwood Lane, Broadmead on Saturday, September 17th, 2005 at 3 PM "and the angels sang " 149723
