HAMILTON, HELEN B. Helen B. Hamilton of Mount Vernon, NY passed away in her home with her niece by her side on Sunday, August 21st. Helen was born on July 25, 1910 in Charleston, SC to Edward and Annie E. Baker. In 1935 she graduated from the Lincoln School for Nurses in New York City. As a Registered Nurse, our beloved Helen worked at P.S. 116 and P.S. 87 in the Bronx, and she also worked at Fordham Hospital, where she retired in 1971. Throughout her life, Helen was a member of the New York State Nurses Association. Helen was predeceased by her husband Ralph Hamilton and daughter Lynn Jennings. She is survived by her sisters-inlaw Mildred Jennings and Eloise MacBeth, brotherin-law Walter C. Prevost, and many other family members and friends. Helen was loved by all. Family and friends may gather at the CAMELOT FUNERAL HOME (914)664-8500 located at 174 Stevens Avenue in Mount Vernon for the wake between 9:00 am and 10:00 am on Thursday, August 25th. An additional wake will follow at TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH on Fourth Avenue in Mount Vernon, where Helen was an active member, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:30 am at the Trinity Church, and the burial will follow at the Beechwood Cemetery in New Rochelle. Repass will be at the Church.
