Helen-Arnone Casey, née en 1934, conjointe de Ralph-J. Arnone, fille de Aniela et Anthony, mère de Ralph J et Jr, est décédée le 21 août 2008.
CASEY Helen Arnone Casey, passed away at her home in Bridgeport, Thursday, August 21, 2008. Mrs. Casey was born to the late Aniela and Anthony Usowski in Greenwich, September 23, 1934. She attended Saint Mary's Grammar School in Greenwich and Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford where she graduated. Mrs. Casey went on to study and complete her nursing studies at Saint Raphael's Hospital in New Haven. It was then, 1955, Mrs. Casey met her first husband and father to her four children, the late Ralph J. Arnone, Jr. Mrs. Casey's first husband died in May, 1976 after 18 years of the "best time of (her) life." Mrs. Casey remarried the late Mr. James E. Casey in December, 1978. Besides being a devoted mother and grandmother, Mrs. Casey was a registered nurse with the Greenwich Hospital, Nathaniel Witherall, Greenwich Laurelton, and Stamford Public Health and Schools. Mrs. Casey was a longtime native resident of Greenwich and was known for her love of that town, as well as, her family, arts and crafts, interior design, gardening, and shopping. She is survived be her children and their spouses, Ralph (Joanne) Arnone of Bridgeport, Frank (Suzanne) Arnone of Newtown, Robert (Wendi) Arnone of Wakefield, R.I. and Aniela (Rick) Savona of Norwalk; step-children, Meghan Parker and Michael Casey of Maine; ten grandchildren, Timothy, Christopher, Julia, Molly, Joseph, Sophia, Ella, Matthew, Nicholas and Cameron; and two brothers (and their spouses), Ted (Josephine) Usowski of Greenwich, and John Usowski (Marge Bennett) of Purchase, NY. Mrs. Casey is also survived by two childhood friends with whom she has always remained close, Jean Fogg of Port Chester, N.Y. and "Cookie" Sciarillo of Greenwich. Mrs. Casey also had several cousins, (Tomczyk) in Stamford. Helen will be missed by the many who loved her. Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 South Pine Creek Road. Services will immediately follow in the funeral home at 4 pm. Burial will be private. Contributions may be made in Helen's memory to a garden fund which is being established for the purpose of beautifying the grounds at the elderly housing complex where she lived.
