Helen Ann Jordan (Lurcock), 55, South Daytona, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2009. A celebration of life will be held on Wed. (today), December 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, FL 32127, 386-761-1100. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Helen was born on September 3, 1954 in Syracuse, New York to Thomas and Mary Jordan. She moved here in 1977 from Syracuse. In the past she was an avid motorcyclist, riding Harleys, more recently her interest had taken her to the culinary arts. Helen loved her family and will be sadly missed. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Jordan Sr. and her brother, Thomas Jordan Jr. Survivors include her mother, Mary Jordan, Daytona Beach; her son, Jason Oakley, South Daytona; daughter, Carrie Lurcock Palm Coast; sister, Tracy Rigo, Deltona; and her significant other of many years, Michael Fruzzetti, Holly Hill. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Helen's memory to American Kidney Foundation, 72 Edgewood Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30303.
