HELEN KATHERINE ANDERSON (HOFFERT)FEBRUARY 6, 1928 – FEBRUARY 14, 2013It is with great sadness that our dear mom & Grandma peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Carl & Katherine (nee Martin) Hoffert; husband, James; grandson, Matthew Smith; sister, Josephine Krassic and brother, James Hoffert. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Jean Smith and son, James Carl Anderson; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-granddaughters; brothers, Harold Hoffert (Bea), Gordon Hoffert (Marlene); sisters, Shirley Watt, Betty Forster (Barry); sister-in-law, Karen Hoffert; special friends, Sandi, Vivian & Donnie as well as many nieces and nephews. Always with a smile on her face, mom loved to entertain family and friends either at home or the cottage at Buena Vista. She had a great love of all animals, but especially her black cat, Buddy. We'd like to thank the staff at Sunset Nursing Home for their kind care of mom. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
