WHITTAKER, HELEN AGNES The death of Helen Agnes Whittaker of Fredericton, NB occurred at the York Nursing Home on Thursday, May 12th, 2005. Born in Medicine Hat, AB, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret (Black) Morrison; and the wife of the late J. Edward Whittaker. Helen Whittaker spent most of her life in Campbellton and Edmundston, where she was a member of the local golf & curling clubs. Shortly after moving to Saint John in 1968 she joined the Portland United Church, and was a member of the IODE for fifty years. She is survived by one son, Ian Whittaker (Louise); two grandchildren, Tara and Matthew Whittaker; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; her husband, J. Edward Whittaker; two brothers, Innes and Bill Morrison; two sisters, Rita MacDonald and Eileen Emerson. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Sunday, May 15th; from 12:30 pm 1:30 pm followed by a memorial service in the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel at 1:30 pm. Rev. David Fisher will officiate assisted by Canon Elaine Lucas. Interment will be held at later date.
