Helen A. Williams, 82, Sarasota, died Oct. 23, 2003. She was born Aug. 21, 1921, in St. Albans, W.Va., and came to Sarasota in 1992 from Myrtle Beach, S.C. She was a receptionist at Union Carbide Corp. for 15 years. She was a member of the Hampton Players of Redondo Beach, Calif. She attended South Shore Community Church. Survivors include her husband, Rexford; a daughter, Regina of Sarasota; a son, Rexford Jr. of Zionsville, Ind.; a sister, Juanita Adam of Sarasota; brothers Harold Ashworth of Cross Lanes, W.Va., and Leonard Ashworth of S. Charleston, W.Va.; and four grandchildren. A family gathering will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Palms Funeral Home, with a committal service to follow. Burial will be in Palms Memorial Park.
