-> Hazel Delores Opie Taylor Johnson, 77, of Savannah, died Thursday, June 26, 2003 at Candler Hospital. She was born in Mountain Ash, Kentucky. Her parents were Millard and Nannie Taylor. She grew up as one of six children and was also educated in Kentucky. After attending Business College in Knoxville, Tennessee, she worked as a secretary in Oak Ridge, Tenn. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a member of the Co-Ed Sunday School Class. She had previously attended Bull Street Baptist Church for a number of years. She was a resident of Savannah for 48 years and a past member of the Savannah Womens Golf Association. She spent most of her years as a homemaker for her family. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert H. Johnson; a son and daughter-in- law, Robert Bob H. Johnson, Jr., and Ronda Parker Johnson of Savannah; grandson, Kevin Johnson and granddaughter, Kristi Johnson, both of Savannah; one sister, Mary Taylor Nixon of Fort Worth, Texas; sister-in-law, Faye Taylor; daughters and family of Maryville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Chapel of the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home - Hodgson Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Allan Bosson, officiating. Burial: Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of the Co-Ed Sunday School Class of Southside Baptist Church. Please assemble at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
