Textile WeaverLAKELAND -- Mrs. Hazel Florine Davis of Lakeland died of complications of Alzheimer's disease Sunday (April 23, 2006) at Tandem Health Care at Socrum Loop. She was 84.Born in Raeford, N.C., on April 4, 1922, she came to Lakeland from there. She was a weaver in the textile industry.Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Franklin Davis; son, William E. Billy Davis, Raeford; daughter, Ann B. Erickson, Lakeland; stepsons, Rodney Davis, Minneapolis, and Douglas Davis, Concord, N.H.; stepdaughters, Teresa Fogarly and Cindy Joyce, both of Minneapolis, and Deborah Stohrer, Concord, N.H.; sisters, Alene Ketchel, Bowie, Md., amd Sara Mae Tucker, Wilmington, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sandy Grove UMC Church.
