Hazel B. Jackson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away May 24, 2012. Hazel was born in Brewton, Ala., to Evelyn and George Brown. Hazel met and married James O. Jackson in 1951. They have two sons, Robert and Brian. The couple owned and operated James O. Jackson Builders, Inc. and Mary Esther Plumbing, Inc. since 1962.Hazel had a great and varied social life. She enjoyed modeling, playing Bunko with her dear friends, square dancing, sewing, reading, going to the beach, and doing many activities with her sorority sisters.Hazel is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; and sister, Elma McCurdy. Survivors include her brother, Leslie Brown (Carrie) of Brewton; sons, Robert (Cheryl), and Brian (Angelica); grandsons, Christopher Ryan (Ashleigh), Andrew Brian, Matthew Clark, Alec James, Wesley Gene, Austin Robert; great-granddaughter, Conleigh Grace; and many near and dear nephews, nieces and friends.Donations can be made to Covenant Hospice.
