Hattie B. Williams, 77, made her transition on Dec. 21, 2012. The celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 745 Chancellor Ave., Irvington, N.J. Interment is in Colquitt, Ga. Visitation is Wednesday from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Arrangements are by Whigham Funeral Home. Born in Colquitt, Ga., Hattie was a resident of Union, N.J. She was a 1961 graduate of Albany State College. Hattie retired from the Newark Public Library after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Hattie was the beloved wife of the late J.C. Williams; loving mother of Anthony Williams (Leslie), Pamela Williams, and Shyree Hand (Calvin); daughter of the late Richard and Hattie Bell; dear sister of Herbert, Simeon (Melinda), Thomas (Corrine), Armie (Betty), Kenneth (Tanya), Fred, Stella, Clara (Hezekiah), Sharon, and the late Hiram; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one great-great-grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.
