Harold James Carter, 100, Sarasota, died Dec. 17, 2004. He was born Sept. 29, 1904, in Bath, Maine, and came to Sarasota from there in 1980. He was a shipyard material clerk and a member of the Masonic Lodge, IOOF/Rebecca Lodges and Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters Claudia Williams of Sarasota and Penelope Hass of Alvarado, Texas; a son, Glenn M. of Alfred, Maine; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Wales, Maine. Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home is in charge.
