- Hazel Virginia Scott Smith of Daytona Beach passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2010. Hazel was 81 years old, born in Alliance, OH on November 24, 1929. Hazel was employed by JC Penney for 26 years. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Norman Kelly Smith on April 16, 1988. They were married on July 14, 1949. Left to cherish her memories are her children, David (Debbie) Smith of Mason, MI; Mark (Debbie) Smith of Shacklefords, VA; Kelly Smith of Daytona Beach, FL; and Kerry (Jason) Solomon of Belleville, IL; her grandchildren Jennifer Smith, Ryan(Danielle) Smith, Craig (Danielle) Smith, Michael Younger, Darren (Ashley) Smith, Branden Brown, Corey (Santana) Younger, Samantha (Daniel) Greene, Amber Smith, and Jacob Solomon; her 17 great-grandchildren, along with many caring nieces, nephews, and friends.
