ELLABELL - Mrs. Hattie Mae Carter, age 97, passed into eternal rest on Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Bryan County Health and Rehab Center in Richmond Hill. She was a native of Bryan County and a member of Athens First Holiness Church, where she served as one of the Mothers of the church until her health failed. She leaves to cherish fond memories to one son, Jessie J. Carter of Ellabell; three granddaughters, Quincella Geiger and Janet Carter, both of Riverdale, Ga., and Crystal Carter of Washington, D.C.; a host of other relatives and friends. The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, at 11 a.m. in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellabell. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1-6 p.m. at Craig R.
