HAROLD LEE MORRIS GARY, IN Harold Lee Morris, age 86 of Gary, passed away on Tuesday April 16, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Ferguson); daughter, Sandra (Steve) Coxhead of Hammond; grandson, Alan Coxhead of Lafayette, IN; cousins: Janice Thompson of Morris, IL and Mark Gotti of Cushing, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Grace Morris. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home with Pastor David Comstock officiating. Burial will be private at Abe Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home, 921 West 45th Ave., Griffith, IN. Harold was a 50 year member of the Gary Masonic Lodge #677, the Gary Chapter #365 OES, affiliated with Griffith Chapter #583 OES, Charter member of the Steel City DeMolay, South Bend Consistory, Orak Shrine, and Hobart Elks #1152. He was a member for over 70 years of the Glen Park American Legion Post 214 now affiliated with the Griffith American Legion Post 66. Harold was a WWII Army Air Force veteran, and graduate of Tolleston High School Class of 1944. Memorials may be given to Shriners Hospitals for Children at 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707.
