Funeral Services for Gwendolyn Louise Carter, 82, Volco Road, Edgewater, FL, who died Dec. 7, 2008 at home, will be 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12 at Oak Grove Apostolic Church, 441 Sheldon St., New Smyrna Beach, with Elder Jose Beauchamp officiating. Burial will be at The Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. Calling hours are from 5-8 p.m. today (Thursday, Dec. 11) at Gainous-Wynn Funeral Home, Inc. Viewing from 1:30 p.m. until service time Friday at the church. Mrs. Carter was born in New Orleans, LA and moved to this area in 2004 from Brooklyn, NY. She received a BS degree in Nursing from Brooklyn State, Brooklyn, NY and worked as a Registered Nurse until retirement. Survivors include her daughters, Ivianne Levine (Leonard), Brooklyn, NH, Elena Schramm (Charles), Edgewater, FL; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
