BROWN, GUILLERMINA "GUILLE" RUBI, 86, passed away on May 30, 2008. She was born on December 14, 1921 in Guines, Cuba... She was a resident of Weston for the past 12 years and a former resident of the City of North Miami Beach for 43 years. She is remembered as a humble and faithful servant to the Lord. She is survived and remembered as a loyal and loving wife to August Hilton Brown; and as a devoted and kind mother to her children, Cony Brown, Hilton Brown, Eleanor (Richard) Mazzio; Helen Brown, Rosemary (James) Haney; and Eunice (Dennis) Tomczak. She was an adoring and affectionate grandmother to Richard (Amanda) Mazzio & Julie (Danny) Baez; Angel Wallain, Daniella Wallain, & Monica Brown; Robert Haney; Marlena, Denny & Natalie Tomczak; and Bryson Fogaros & Vanessa. She was a proud great-grandmother to Adrianna & Gabriella Mazzio; Alana Baez; and Jessica Bonilla & Alex Pizza. Guille is also survived by her dear sister, Leonor Rubí Andreu, 92; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her brothers Carlos Rubí and Cleofe Rubí. Guille retired from the City of North Miami Beach in 1988 where she worked in the Finance Department for 20 years. She loved life and lived life to the fullest. She was an accomplished artist and seamstress. She had many gifts and talents, was a gracious volunteer, donated to numerous charities and was recognized by the American Red Cross as an exemplary life-time blood donor. She loved to travel and was an outstanding tennis-player and swimmer. Most importantly, she strived to live her life as a true follower of Christ and strongly believed in the power of prayer. To all her family, she will be remembered as a living saint and will be dearly missed! A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1301 SW 136 Avenue, Davie, Florida 33325. Donations, in her honor, can be made to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul c/o of St. Bonaventure or American Red Cross. Arrangments by T.M.
