Grace-Marie Anderson, née en 1941, conjointe de Gerald Lane, fille de John-Carl et Kathleen-McDonald, mère de William M, Lowell, Loren et Leesa, est décédée le 18 septembre 2011 à l'âge de 70 ans.
Grace Marie Cox Anderson passed away Sept. 18, 2011, at the age of 70 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.Grace was born on May 24, 1941, in her family home in Albany, Ga., weighing 3 pounds. Her parents, John Carl Cox and Kathleen McDonald Cox (both deceased), told how her Dad's handkerchiefs were used for diapers and she was fed with an eye dropper. Seventy beautiful years later she is survived by three of her four children and their spouses, Diana K. (Kathy) and Walter E. (Bo) Bowden, David L. and Kelly Anderson, and John B. and Jodi Anderson. Her son, William M. Anderson; and grandson, William Nathaniel Bowden, are deceased. She has five grandchildren, Joshua E. Bowden, Gillian M. Anderson, John Wallace Anderson, Zachary D. Anderson and Lowell T. Lane. Her siblings are Carl J. Cox (deceased), Thomas E. Cox and MaryLois Westfall.Grace was loved and respected by everyone she met, especially her dedicated partner, Gerald Lane, of over 26 years; and his children, Lowell, Loren and Leesa. She lived her life for one important reason and that was to raise her children, care for, give to and nurture all of those whom came into her life. She wanted no special farewell, however a few days prior to her passing she requested a small memorial service to be held at Oakland Baptist Church, 118 Wright Pkwy., Fort Walton Beach, Fla., on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 3 p.m., followed by a gathering at the church in celebration of her life. The family requests no flowers; however, a monetary donation to the church would make her very proud and honor her love for Christ and all of those she loved in her life time. Grace's final requests are explained in this poem by Isla Paschal Richardson: To Those I Love "If I should ever leave you whom I love, to go along the silent way, grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you, for who knows but that I shall be, oftentimes.I'd come, I'd come, could I find a way! But would not tears and grief be barriers? And when you hear a song I used to sing or see a bird I loved … let not the thought of me be sad for I am loving you just as I always have. You were so good to me … so many things I wanted to do … so many things to say to you. Remember that I did not fear … it was just leaving you I could not bear to face …We cannot see beyond … But this I know; I LOVED YOU SO."
