CLEMINSON, Grace C. Grace C. Cleminson of Elmira passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2005 in her 91st year. Grace was born in Windsor to the late Cecil E., and Jessie (Bertram) Jackson. She graduated from Dougall P.S, and Patterson C.I., and spent many happy summers at the family cottage on Lake St. Clair in Tecumseh. In 1970, she moved into the Westgate Crt. Apartments, Cambridge (G) and into Leisureworld Elmira in December 2000. Predeceased by her loving husband John E. I. Cleminson, sisters Marjorie (Dr. A.W.) Myers, Isabelle (Jack) Switzer, and Maye (Sam) Martin, and her brother George Jackson. Also predeceased by her brother-in-law Frank (Ethel) Cleminson, her sisters-in-law Donna (Leonard) Barr, and Ellen (Gordon) Nelson. She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Gerry) Henderson of Ayr and children: John (Amena) Henderson, Nancy (Ron) Hesas, Linda (Chris) Favacho, Susan Hagan and Mark (Janice) Henderson. Also survived by her son William (Jean) Cleminson of Ayr and Florida and children: Lisa (Ian) Parker and Paul (Donna McIntyre) Cleminson. GG adored her great-grandchildren Jamie, Kimberlee, Nicholas, Courtney, Laura, Matthew, Emily, Kevin, Jack and Eric. Barbara and Bill wish to thank her nieces and nephews and families for their many kindnesses to their mother over the years. Thanks also to so many of their friends for being such a special presence in their mother's life. Her neighbours and friends in Cambridge and at Leisureworld provided Grace with a happy and caring community in which to live. Sincere thanks to the staff and volunteers at Leisureworld for making mom's final years safe, comfortable, active, and happy. Memorial services will be held at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg (519-662-1661) at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2005 and later in Windsor at the Victoria Memorial Gardens Chapel at 11:00 am on Saturday May 28, 2005. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Arthritis Society of Canada, or the Leisureworld Councils who provide programs and equipment for the residents.
