Grace A. Morris ScotiaGrace A. Morris, 94, passed away peacefully January 25, 2015, at Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Schenectady, April 24, 1920, she was one of 11 children of Luigi and Agatha Castaldi. Grace graduated Nott Terrace High School in 1938, and was married February 15, 1945, to Charles J. Morris, her beloved husband of 41 years. Charles died February 8, 1986. After raising a family Grace worked 17 years for the Dept. of Social Services of Schenectady County, retiring in 1986. A longtime faithful parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Scotia, she had also belonged to the Leisure Club, and volunteered for Baptist Health Center. She was predeceased by her siblings, Carmela Mazzone, Gema Krug, Yolanda King, Anthony Castaldi, Betty Vigolotti, James Castaldi, Mary Nicosia, Bernie Castaldi, Patricia McDonald and Angi Aldi. Survivors include her son, Richard E. Morris (Yvonne) of Randleman, NC; and her daughter, Debra Bovino (Tom) of Glenville; grandchildren, Lisa Marie Bovino and her husband, Scott Kazmierczak and Michael T. Bovino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 27th at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph's Church, 236 Second St., Scotia. Relatives and friends may call 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the Mass at the church. Burial in the Castaldi Burial Plot at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenridge Rd., Glenville.
