Cox, 71, of East Providence, who has relatives in the local area, died Friday, Nov. 29, at Rhode Island Hospital.He was born in Biddeford, Maine, on July 13, 1931, the son of the late George W. and Ethel M. (Cummings) Cox.An honorably discharged veteran, Mr. Cox served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.Mr. Cox was a wire insulator in Rhode Island for many years before his retirement. During his leisure time, he enjoyed photography and reading.He leaves three cousins, Shirley Lyko of Dracut, Ruth Singleton of Tyngsboro and Lillian Mosher of Battle Creek, Mich.
