He was born November 11, 1937 in the state of California, the son of Paul O. and Florence Kathleen (Jones) Wilson.He was united in marriage to Cecelia Wright on April 11, 1998. A member of the Bois D'Arc UMC, Gordon was a church trustee and active in the men's group. He enjoyed wood working and was a retired dairy farmer.Gordon's parents preceded him in death.He is survived by his wife, Cecelia, of the home; two children, Dan Wilson and wife Cathy, Claremore, Okla., and Teresa Fletcher, Republic, Mo.; four step children, Jerry Wright, Ozark, Mo., Marilyn Gray, Nixa, Mo., Connie Armor, Oldfield, Mo., and Becky Longwell, Ozark, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Donna Espy, Strafford; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, also in the funeral home, with Rev. Kim Polchow officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.
