WESTFORD -- Gloria (Glenn) Peterson, 58, of Westford, formerly of Acton and Fitchburg, died Monday, Oct. 13, at the Genesis Westford House, after a long illness. She was born in Boston and was raised in Acton, the daughter of Everett and Lillian (Hickey) Glenn. She graduated from Acton schools, and was formerly employed at NEC for many years. A resident of Westford since 1971, Mrs. Peterson enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo with her sisters and friends. She is survived by a son, Gary Peterson of Fitchburg; a daughter, Tammy Luther of Westford; five grandchildren; five brothers, Everett “Cy” Glenn of Petersham, Thomas Glenn of Pepperell, Robert Glenn of Ashburnham, Richard Glenn of Harwich and Henry “Hank” Glenn of Acton; two sisters, Margaret Eaton of Ashburnham and Lorraine Boucher of Fitchburg; and many nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Donald Peterson, who died in 1971. She was the sister of the late Sanford Glenn and Ronald Glenn. PETERSON -- On Oct. 13, Gloria (Glenn) Peterson, 58, of Westford. Visiting hours are Friday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Acton Funeral Home, 470 Mass Ave. (Route 111), Acton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, at 10 a.m. in West Acton Baptist Church, 592 Mass Ave., junction of Route 111 and Central Street, West Acton Center. The Rev. Jeffrey Long Middleton will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Central Street, West Acton.
