Gloria (DeMetrio) LaValle September 13, 2011 Gloria (DeMetrio) LaValle, 85, of Liverpool, passed away Tuesday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Bronx, NY, she lived in Syracuse most of her life. She was a secretary at Prosperity Co. in Syracuse, later working with her husband at Anthony LaValle and Sons Paving Contractors for many years before retiring. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Santo, in 2008; and sister, Christine Greco. She is survived by a daughter, Francine LaValle-Hogan; two sons, Santo (Grace) LaValle and Peter (JoAnne) LaValle, all of Liverpool; six grandchildren, Christine Mangiamele, Brian LaValle, Samantha Hogan, Giana, Anthony and Nicholas LaValle, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:15 a.m. Saturday in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave. Contributions may be made to the League of St. Anthony at St. Lawrence Seminary or the Society of the Little Flower.
