Royston - Mrs. Gloria Hannah Smith, 62, of 1001 Shirley Road, Royston, Ga., died October 16, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Ga.Mrs. Smith was born October 13, 1946 in Clarke County, Ga., daughter of the late Mr. William Bill Hannah and Mrs. Jeanette Gidley Hannah. Mrs. Smith was a retired school teacher and a member of the Royston First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Friends of the Royston Library and the Georgia Retired Teachers Association.Survivors include: husband, Walter R. (Scoot) Smith, Royston, Ga.; sons, Adam Smith & Andrew Smith, both of Royston; sister, Lucy Copas, Franklin Springs, Ga. Memorial Services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Royston First United Methodist Church in Royston, Ga.The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2008 at the Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, Ga. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Royston Elementary or Friends of the Royston Library.Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
