Gloria B. Wilson passed away in her home in Aurora on Monday, October 20, 2008, at the age of 86 years. Born on August 14, 1922, in Seaside, Oregon, to John and Florence (Grainger) Billington, Gloria graduated high school, attended business school, and was a professional secretary for many years. She married S.G. Wilson on July 16, 1945, in Oakland, California. They were parents of three children, Jack, Glenn and Gloraine. They were dedicated ministers and through the years pastored several churches, including in Carthage and Elsey, Missouri, Marshall, Arkansas, and in Deming, New Mexico. Her beloved husband of 48 years preceded her in death on July 10, 1993. Gloria has made her home in Aurora, Missouri since 1996, and was an active member of Landmark Church in Marionville. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and a beloved friend to many, a very special lady who will be sorely missed. She is survived by her children, Jack Wilson of Rowland Heights, California, Glenn Wilson of Lake Forest, California, and Gloraine Cummings of Aurora, Missouri; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at 2 p.m., in Landmark Church, in Marionville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2008, in Peterson Funeral Home in Aurora.
