Godwin, Glenda GailAug. 29, 2007Glenda Gail Godwin, "Pee Wee Burdine," 55, died Aug. 29, 2007, at Sarasota Hospice House. She came to this area 50 years ago from Indianapolis, Ind., and worked in food services at the Sarasota County School Board for 30 years. She is joining her husband, Darrell Godwin Sr., in Heaven. Pee Wee is survived by her mother, Juanita Burdine of Nokomis; a son, Darrell Godwin Jr. of Nokomis; a daughter, Rebecca Rosenbalm of Venice; a brother, Jimmy Burdine of Nokomis; a sister, Vivian "Sis" Hill of North Port; three grandchildren, Lacie, Jessica and Danny, all of Venice; two nieces, Trudy Whitaker and Michele Moser, both of Nokomis; and three nephews, Rex and Ben Burdine, both of North Port, and Mac Burdine of Nokomis. The family would like to thank the staff of TideWell Hospice for their care. No services are scheduled at this time.
