Gladys M. (LaRose) Richard, 89, of Boylston, formerly of Hudson and Stow, died on Wednesday, May 29th at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester. She was the wife of 52 years to the late Norman T. Richard who died in 1997.Gladys was born and raised in Waltham, daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Larosee) LaRose. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Waltham High School. She resided in Stow for 42 years prior to living in Hudson for 10 years. She was a bookkeeper for the former J.W. Tool Co. which her husband Norman and Gladys owned and operated for many years in Stow. Gladys loved spending time with her family and enjoyed reading, listening to music and sewing in her spare time. She is survived by her son, Norman Wayne Richard of Hudson; her daughter, Joanne LaChance and her husband Raymond of Boylston; her 5 loving grandchildren, Andrew Richard of Leominster, Greg Richard of Hudson, Keith LaChance of Southington, CT, Laurie McCabe of Shrewsbury and Kara Macaluso of Belchertown. She is also survived by her 9 great grandchildren; her sister Barbara Cedrone of Newton and many nieces and nephews. A private funeral Service and celebration of Gladys life attended by family members was held at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton. com).
