Gladys Linzy Turner Gladys Linzy Turner, 95, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003. The service will be at 10 a.m. EDT Tuesday at First Baptist Church. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT today at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel (877-8191). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308, or First Baptist Church, 108 W. College Ave., Tallahassee, FL 32301.Mrs. Turner was from a pioneer family of Wakulla County. In 1926, Gladys married Alfred Lewis Turner. During World War II, she worked at Camp Gordon Johnson for government contractors. She retired from the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission. Gladys was actively involved in the community with her work in First Baptist Church, where she volunteered as a ceramics teacher, Tallahassee Garden Club, Tallahassee Woman's Club and Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Medical Auxiliary.Survivors include two daughters, Jerry Morrow and Lila Eubanks (and husband Dewey), both of Tallahassee; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Lewis Turner; a daughter, Alfreda Smith; and two sons-in-law, James Smith and Dick Morrow.
