NORTH POWNAL -- Funeral services for Gladys Jelley-Hall were held from the North Pownal Congregational Church Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, with Pastor Gary Rogers officiating.Pianist was Dorothy Williams. Hymns offered during the service included “Holy, Holy, Holy” “Amazing Grace” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Participating in the funerals service were Stewart Park and David King, members of the church. Several friends of the family offered personal remembrances during the service.At the conculsion of the service a favorite song of Gladys, “I Did It My Way,” was played in her memory.Bearers were six grandsons, Chad and Ryan Greenslet, Brad Jelley, Lyle Jelley Jr., Gary Jelley Jr. and Jamie Jelley Jr.Burial took place in the family lot in North Pownal Cemetery with Pastor Rogers offering the committal prayers.Following the services a reception was held at the Bennington Elks Lodge.Mrs. Jelley-Hall, widow of Harrison Hall and a resident of Route 346, North Pownal, died Nov. 21, 2007, at her residence.Funeral services were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.
