-><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->GLADYS MARIE (NICHOLS) JACKSON87, formerly of Brookdale, PA and the daughter of the late Wrene and Muriel (Dadey) Nichols, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 28, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband Donald in October 2009. Gladys was a member of First Christian Church, Kirkwood, NY and was faithful in teaching a Sunday School Class. She worked with her husband Donald in woodworking and had a craft shop with him for over 10 years. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the third floor nursing staff at Bridgewater Nursing Facility for their compassionate care. She is survived by her five children, Daisy Osterhout, Augusta ME, Sharon Payne, Kirkwood, NY, Esther Oakely, Greenbrier, TN, Don Jackson, Liverpool, NY, and Ralph Jackson, Hallstead, PA; she was blessed with six grandchildren, Mark, Joy, Shaun, Stephanie, Mandie, and Darren; five great grandchildren, Alexis (in heaven), Wyatt, Garrett, Jacob, and Riley. After retiring from Wynatic Corp., she took pride in her home and flower gardens, and enjoyed reading. Gladys was a hard worker and an excellent cook. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the First Christian Church, Kirkwood, NY. Spring interment will be made in Brookdale Cemetery.
