April 12, 1927 - September 13, 2012 HENDERSON - Gladys Helen(nee Ashworth). Born April12, 1927 in Oungre, Saskatchewan, passed away suddently September 13, 2012 in Langley, B.C. Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her devoted sons Tom (Linda), Jim (Jan), daughters Deborah (Larry), Dianne (Terry), six beautiful grandchildren Leah, Kari, Steven, Jennifer, Christopher and Alaine, great grandchildren Courtney, Krystoffer, Logan, Zayda, Ava, Addison & Nina, loving relatives and friends.Gladys was predeceased by her devoted, loving husband John in 2005, after 58 years of marriage and 2 of her sons John and Bobbie both in their youth. Gladys had many health issues throughout her life but valiantly carried on. She took great joy in her large family and the get-togethers with friends and relatives. She loved going to the Seniors Centre and to Church. Gladys worked as a physiotherapist in Fellburn Care Centre for many years. She took great joy in improving the health, strength, and balance of the patients. She received many cards and letters of thanks from the grateful families of her patients.Special thanks to Joan for her compassionate and loving care of Gladys when she most needed her. Thank you also to Ted, his wife Bev and Vera for being such kind and caring neighbors. Your friendship and practical help made a huge difference in Gladys's life.Memorial service will be held on Friday September 21st at 1:00 PM at First Memorial Funeral Services, 602 Kingsway, Vancouver. Reception to follow. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gladys's memory to the B.C. Wildlife Federation.
