GLADYS EMILYDAVIS, 85 POLK CITY - Gladys Emily Davis, 85, of Polk City, FL formerly of PA and DE passed quietly at Good Shepherd Hospice Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Lakeland on Thursday September 2, 2010 due to complications from surgery. She was born February 25th 1925 in Chester, PA. She worked as a school bus driver in Pennsylvania and Delaware before her retirement. She was a life member of Mill Creek Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in Marshallton, DE. She enjoyed traveling and bingo and her loving pet a bichon Skeezer. She is survived by her husband Herbert Davis of Polk City, FL; 2 daughters Gladys Golt of Newark DE, Frances Hackman of West Chester, PA; son Alvin Wyatt of Fredericksburg, VA; 2 step children Thomas Davis of Eddystone, PA, Rose Mary Davis of Eddystone, PA; 9 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Services will be held in Veterans Cemetery Kirkwood, DE at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Heath Funeral Chapel Lakeland FL.
