SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Gertrude Sherwood Williams, formerly of Valley Falls, N.Y., and a resident at the Home of the Good Shepherd in Saratoga Springs, died on April 2, 2003 at the age of 90. Born and raised in Hoosick, N.Y., Mrs. Williams was a career educator, who taught in the Rome, N.Y. schools, and later served as a teacher and administrator in the Capital District. She was predeceased by her husband, Harlow Williams. Mrs. Williams prized her gardens of iris and peony, was an avid reader, and enjoyed drama and Native American history.A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 24, at 10:15 a.m. in the chapel at the Home of the Good Shepherd, 45 Greenfield Avenue, Saratoga Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Valley Falls Public Library or the American Indian College Fund.Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
