Gertrude (Cameron) Rogers, 77, of Old Washington Trail, Durham, formerly of Middlefield and New Britain, beloved wife of the late John Rogers Sr., died Friday, June 1, at Middlesex Hospital. She was born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Ernest and Bertha (Depia) Cameron. She is survived by four sons, Ernest H. Rogers of Durham, Timothy Rogers and his wife Elizabeth of Middlefield, Thomas Rogers and his wife Patricia of Middlefield, and John Rogers, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Durham; two daughters, Linda Moody and her husband Michael of Higganum, and Susan Czaja and her husband Anthony of Meriden; three sisters, Shirley Blair, Rose Symolon, and Maryann Clynes, all of New Britain; 15 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and William Cameron; and two sisters, June Jensen, and Dorothy Warzocha. Funeral services were held at the Biega Funeral Home in Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middlesex Hospital, Weiss Hospice Unit, 28 Crescent Street, Middletown, CT 06457.
