Gertrude Freije Williamsof NimmonsburgTrudy Williams went to be in Gods care unexpectedly at her home Thursday morning, December 12, 2002. She was predeceased by her parents, Melvina and George Freije; and one sister, Eleanor Freije. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Lyman L. Williams, Binghamton; one son and daughter-in-law, Reid L. and Phoebe Williams, Marblehead, Mass.; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Barry Kelly, Binghamton; three grandchildren, Kirby Williams, Marblehead, Mass., Alexander and Phillip Kelly, Binghamton; cousins, Gladys and Lester Morgan, Endwell, Lorraine and Frank Pilloud, Oak Ridge, Tenn., John Lina and Joseph Ramli; her goddaughter, Tanya Ramli, all of Vestal; two sisters-in-law, Velma Hazlett, Binghamton, Jeanne Williams, Port Orange, Fla.; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Trudy was a longtime active member of Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church. She was a charter member of Aahmes Caldron #81, a member of Johnson City Service Chapter Eastern Star #680, and a member of Queen May Court, Order of Amaranth #106. She will always be remembered for her strength, energy, devotion to her family, her love of life and genuine concern for others.A memorial service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church. The Rev. Noreen Suriner and Rev. Heath Civetta will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends in the Hoyt Room of Trinity Church, Sunday, from 3 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions to the Shriners Childrens Hospital, c/o Kalurah Shrine, 625 Dickson St., Endicott, N.Y. 13760, or Trinity Church, 44 Main St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
