WILLIAMS, GERTRUDE E. - 98 The death occurred on Jan. 31/08 of Gertrude Ethel Williams at Oakwood Terrace with family at her side. She was born and raised in Saint John, NB, moving to Nova Scotia in 1986 to be close to family. She is survived by her only child, Kathleen (Jack) Ingram, two grandsons, Lewis (Lana Crewe) and children, Christopher, Justin, Byron and Kailee; and Paul (Sarah Reaburn) and children, Jeremy, Joel and Taylor. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin in 1960 and was the last surviving member of two brothers and seven sisters. A lady who enjoyed cooking and pickling, and took great pride in her knitting, crocheting and needlepoint, she will be greatly missed. A service of celebration will take place at Mattatall's Funeral Home, Portland St., Dartmouth on Feb. 4 at 2pm with Rev. Frances Drouet-Smith officiating. Cremation has taken place with interment taking place in the Spring in Saint John, beside her husband. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the charity of your choice.
